Can you sue a birth control company ?

I have seen so many woman including myself suffer from the side effects of mirena. is there a way to sue them and how would you do it if you can ?Can you sue a birth control company ?
If it is not a known side effect, you should see a few doctors (I would guess two or three) to have them all agree that your symptoms are caused by the product. Then, contact a lawyer about your case.

Also, I don't know what side effects you are talking about, but you will have to prove that you were damaged somehow by the product. If you get the sniffles from using it (just an example, I know that it probably wouldn't happen), you really are not damaged, and would not have much of a case. But if it is something that you have to be treated for a long time for, and you miss lots of work, you probably will have a better case. Can you sue a birth control company ?
The first thing is, the side effects (as well as their incidence) are public knowledge.

In order to sue them, you'd have to prove that they either lied about them, or didn't tell you about other possible side effects. You can't sue just because something has side effects.

Most of the side effects go away after it is taken out, so um, if it's that bad, just have your gynecologist take it out.
you would need a really good attorney if you plan on doing it which means lots of money being put into such an investment. Also, since the company probably has lots of money to use they could hire a good defense which would probably result with you losing the case unless you have a practical reason that the birth control made you suffer.

You need a lot of money to invest if you want to even consider it.
Pretty sure both the packaging and your doctor have warned you of the side effects.

Pretty much puts the onus on you and your doctor to watch them and determine if you need to use another product; not the company to change the formulations.

Quote: they say are not side effects from the mirena

So you need to prove they are; and even then, I don't believe you'd have much luck.

Change products.
If they warn you of the side effects, then no.

You'll have to be more specific. It could also be your Dr.'s fault for failing to recognize the risks associated with you specifically.

The short answer is no, they probably covered themselves against liability somehow.
this would be a class action law suit most likely. usually an individual would bring a suit and it would go from there. my suggestion is for you to find an atty that handles someting like medical malpractice or civil litigation to see what your best route and options are.

as far as money goes, a good atty who is used to handling these types of cases is generally going to do what is called contingency, meaning you dont pay if you dont win. thats how people without money can afford to file suit against giant companies and corporations. you may not need any money to begin with
I'm not sure. Does the birth control company warn you of the possible side effects? Using their product is your choice; it's not mandatory. If they warn of the possible side effects, you may not have any legal standing for suing them.
Well duh there are side affects, and you cant sue someone when they placed the side affects on the package. You took them at your own risk.
No, I have seen commercials and it said side effects may occur. Stop being so sue happy! My God, you are the reason this country will go down the crapper!
nope, ya coulda sucked a dick or aborted
Google for an atty that handles this
