Lost control of company vehicle(speed limit violation)totalling vehicle escaping without seious injury.?

Was my being asked to resign in lieu of immediate termination legal? I resigned, so, how does that work in regard to my seeking further employment?Lost control of company vehicle(speed limit violation)totalling vehicle escaping without seious injury.?
You'll be asked why you resigned, and in reference checks the co may say why you resigned. Of course it's legal.

You can't get unemployment when you resign.Lost control of company vehicle(speed limit violation)totalling vehicle escaping without seious injury.?
It was defiantly legal you totaled company property and they have right to make you pay for the vehicle and lose your job. And for farther employment if they actually call them you will have a low chance of getting a driving job
They could have terminated you for cause. They did you a favor by letting you resign your position.

Terminated looks far worse than resigned on a resume! As for the cause ... you might get away with either personal reasons or ';mutual consent'; for the reason you resigned.
Well, since you resigned and weren't fired, when a new employer calls to check references, hopefully they won't hear that you aren't eligible for re-hire. And this will be on your driving record, which they may check depending on the position.
