basically charge control is the length of time that the heater is allowed to heat up its core, this usually occurs at night. The damper position control is basically a throttle or regulator.. it controls the rate the heat is allowed to leave the core and therefore heat the room.


if the charge control is too short the storage heater will not store enough energy to dissipate throughout the day.


If the damper is to wide the temperature in the room will rise too quickly and the heat will be dissipated quicker.
